OG and their carry player, MidOne, have parted ways. The two times TI champions announced this through their official website, stating that this adjustment was required even though they had given in their all. In a blog post on their website, OG mentioned that the results in the past few months had been quite rough, and as a result, “the team as a whole felt the need for a breath of fresh air among their ranks.” Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng’s career at OG comes to an end after nearly 14 months, as he joined the team in January 2020, initially as an offlaner and then later switched to the carry role.

OG and MidOne part ways; New carry player to be announced soon
After a tough result in the recently concluded EU 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division, where the team finished fifth and missed the cut for the first DPC Major in 14 months, OG’s fans were already calling for roster changes to the squad. MidOne had been at the forefront of this community backlash and now OG has decided to part ways with the Malaysian.
While mentioning that his “talent and mischievous energy brought immense amounts of joy to everyone around him,” the organization thanked the player for everything he had done for the team.
Captain Johan “N0tail” Sundstein’s statement on MidOne’s departure
“I want to thank Yeik for his hard work, and for the sacrifices he has made for OG and for the Team.
He is an extraordinary player, and is unfortunate we couldn’t get better results together. Thank you Yeik, and best of luck!”
Offlaner Sébastien “Ceb” Debs’ statement on the carry player’s exit:
“Competitive synergy is something very unique and complex. Yeik is one of the best players we have played with, and we worked very hard for months and made a lot of improvements… but unfortunately it never “clicked”. It happens sometimes.
We want to wish him the best of luck moving forward and hope he finds a great team where he can shine.”
OG has not announced the replacement of MidOne as of now but communicated that they will be announcing it as the 2021 DPC Season 2 approaches.
