Veteran SEA Dota 2 player Benedict "hyhy" Lim has announced his return to the competitive scene. The player became a client of Singapore-based esports talent management agency, EMERGE Esports along with 39 other eSports and Streamers, including Dominic “Black^” Reitmeyer, amongst others.

Hyhy - A Dota 2 veteran in the SEA region

hyhy is one of the most respected players in the SEA region, for his accomplishments in the early years of competitive Dota 2. His popularity increased manyfold after he became one of the three players who were featured in the ‘Free to Play’ Dota 2 documentary alongside Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Clinton “Fear” Loomis.

He managed to secure a Top 3 finish with Scythe Gaming at TI1 and a Top 6 finish with Zenith at TI2.

However, following this, hyhy was forced to take a break from pro-Dota 2 since he had to take part in a mandatory military service program.

hyhy attempted to make a return to pro-Dota 2 with White Fries Gaming, with whom he played in 2016. However, since 2017, hyhy has not played a single competitive Dota 2 match. So it will be interesting to see the player back on the competitive circuit.
