Following a brief but successful stint at VP Prodigy, CIS veteran Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk has joined HellRaisers. The announcement also indicates that the player has changed his name to 'Lil me alone'.

Lil Joins HellRaisers

HellRaisers has been one of the most prominent organizations in the CIS region, but over the last few months, its Dota 2 roster hasn’t been able to compete at the highest level in the extremely tough CIS region against the likes of FlyToMoon, VP Prodigy, Virtus.Pro and even Na’Vi. But with the addition of Lil, HellRaisers has secured one of the finest veterans who might be able to help push the team into a serious competitor in this region.

Lil has been playing in a multitude of teams CIS teams over the past few months without finding a permanent home for himself. He started off 2020 in Cyberium before joining Aggressive Mode with whom he played for 3 months.

He departed from Aggressive Mode and has been shifting from one team to another playing as a stand-in in a number of teams including Cyber Legacy, Alliance, FlyToMoon 2.0, Memename, Omegalil, and VP.Prodigy.

Considering the fact that HellRaisers also have a relatively young squad, this was a prime opportunity to bring in someone who’s played for several top teams.

Lil joins a roster that only has one other player who’s attended at least two TIs. It looks like he’ll assume a leadership role in HellRaisers. However, it is not clear on whether he will be assuming the Captain position in this roster even though he has proven to be capable of doing so in previous teams.

Hence HellRaisers roster for the new season will be:

  • Alexander "Nix" Levin
  • Arslan "xannii" Shadjanov
  • Gleb "Funn1k" Lipatnikov
  • Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk
  • TBA

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the roster in action since the squad is scheduled to participate later today in the ESL One Germany 2020. They will be facing Vikin.gg in their first match in this tournament.
