  • Sockshka to stand-in for Topson in the OGA DotaPIT Season 3: EU/CIS
  • Topson recently became a father, earlier this week.
  • So he is taking a few days off to take care of his wife and daughter, and hence won’t be competing in the OGA Dotapit tournament this week.

A few days ago, Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen, OG’s two time TI winning midlaner, announced the birth of his first daughter. Considering this, a few fans wondered if the new dad would be able to compete at the OGA Dota Pit Season 3 tournament.

Well, today, this question was answered by OG through their various social media handles.

OG Confirms that Topson Will Not Play The OGA DotaPIT S3

Sockshka Will Stand-In For Topson at the OGA DotaPIT Season 3: EU/CIS Tournament

OG’s statement regarding this matter read:

“Last week, our very own Topson metamorphosed into a Topdad and welcomed an adorable Taavitsainen baby girl into the world. We couldn’t be prouder and wish his little family the absolute best.

It is a full time job to take care of a newborn, Topson will be taking a few days off to take care of his wife and daughter, and therefore won’t be taking part in the OGA Dotapit tournament this week.

As for his replacement, our wonderful coach Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz kindly accepted to stand-in for Topson and will thus be playing with us during DotaPit. “

So, OG’s coach Titouan "Sockshka" Merloz will have the difficult task of filling in for Topson at the OGA DotaPIT Season 3: EU/CIS Tournament, which takes place from the September 23rd to September 26th.

This is not the first time that Sockshka will be part of OG's official roster. As we can remember, during the EPICENTER XL, the last Dota Pro Circuit 2018-19 tournament, N0tail got sick and the OG coach had to be his substitute. Although Sockshka did not perform badly, OG only managed a 7th-8th place finish in this tournament.

It will be interesting to see how OG fares in this tournament. Hopefully, there’ll be a distinct lack of boar stuns.

OG's will face Alliance later tomorrow at 04:00 AM SGT in their first match of the DotaPit Season 3: Europe/CIS. How will they fare against the Swedish Powerhouse?
