Following Evil Geniuses recent victory 2-0 victory over 5Men at their first match of the OMEGA League Group Stages, the NA team’s captain Tal "Fly" Aizik came on for the post game interview. In this interview, the player tackled a number of questions and spoke about a number of topics which included a comparison of Filipino star Abed to EG’s CIS stand-in gpk.

Fly on Abed and how gpk compares to the Filipino midlaner

When asked to describe the difference between playing with Abed “Abed” Azel L. Yusop and Danil "gpk" Skutin, Fly stated:

“Gpk is definitely a really talented player and we are really glad to have him as a stand-in right now. Not to take away anything from Abed who is also a monster himself. So I think they have some similarities in that they’re both young, they’re both super-talented and they have the willingness to learn and improve. I think those are pretty key things for a player, so in that sense, they’re pretty similar but they also have different personalities.”

Fly on how Evil Geniuses’ CIS cores are gelling with each other

Considering the fact that Evil Geniuses offlaner Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev and midlaner gpk are both from the CIS region, Fly was asked to elaborate on how they are gelling with each other. EG’s captain stated:

“There is definitely some random Russian in there, in the middle of the game. Occasionally Ramzes666 says something to gpk, and I am like ‘okay sure’. So it does happen. Arteezy also understands some Russian so he did have a ‘Comrade’ even before...

... We are actually a CIS team at this point.”

Fly on how he is dealing with the lockdowns

Fly also spoke about how he is dealing with the lockdowns in the last few months.

“It has been crazy. You don’t realize how much time has passed until there is a certain point where it is like ‘Holy.. its been 4 months.’ It has been weird, I’ve never been home for this long in years...

... It is been weird, but I have got into some home habit. I am trying to grow tomatoes for some reason, so it has been interesting.”

Evil Geniuses’ next match in the OMEGA League will take place on August 20 against Nigma.
