Well, this is one of the crazier stories we’ve heard about pro Dota 2 players in quite a while. Reality Rift’s co-founder and CEO Ilya Vlasov recently shared an incident that happened in the bootcamp which involved the police and Reality Rift’s captain Wong "NutZ" Jeng Yih.

Nutz Gets Handcuffed By The Police at Reality Rift’s Bootcamp

According to Vlasov, Reality Rift’s players had gone to the mall while Nutz decided to stay at home (Reality Rift's bootcamp). When he was at home, there was a knock on the door which Nutz answered. It was the police on Reality Rift’s doorstep who then proceeded to handcuff Nutz with little resistance.

Apparently, a neighbor’s house was robbed at night and camera footage showed the robbers running in the direction of Reality Rift’s bootcamp. However, after watching the camera footage, it became clear that the robbers did not look like Reality Rift’s players.

During these proceedings, it became clear that the law enforcement officers were also fond of video games, and hence they bought some old gaming chairs which Reality Rift weren’t able to sell in any other way. The cops ended up liking Reality Rift’s Facebook page at the end.

Vlasov also stated that this was the fourth time this year, that the police came to Reality Rift’s bootcamp.

Reality Rift is a Singaporean Dota 2 team, formed in June 2019 by Ilya Vlasov and Ilya Slavin. Since then, the team has qualified for one Dota 2 major: DreamLeague Season 13 - The Leipzig Major. The team has also won the ESL MY&SG Championship Season 2.

Reality Rift recently underwent a roster shuffle in which they removed carry player Drew and picked up former LGD International player Lai "Ahjit" Jay Son as a stand-in.
