TNC Predator’s bad run over the last few months looks like it has continued in the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League as well. The team has tied its opening two matches to Adroit (who recently underwent a roster shuffle) and NEW Esports (featuring the likes of ddz and YamateH).

TNC Predator’s Matches In This Tournament

TNC Predator vs Adroit: TNC Predator’s first match in this tournament was against Adroit. They managed to win their opening game, courtesy of Armel’s spectacular performance on Puck. However, Adroit struck back in Game 2 with Mac’s Ember Spirit carrying them to victory.

TNC Predator vs NEW Esports: TNC Predator’s started their series against NEW Esports on the wrong foot. They lost the first game after failing to address NEW Esports’ global lineup. They simply got picked apart from multiple angles, all through the game allowing their opponents to secure a fairly easy victory.

The second game saw TNC Predator put in a far better shift. Although they made a few mistakes, their overall gameplan and teamfight execution was far superior compared to their opponents. This allowed them to easily secure the win and even up the series.

TNC Predator will be quite disappointed with these results. However, they still have enough room left in this tournament to turn things around. The team will have quite a bit of time to get their strategies right. Their next match will be against Team Execration on 26th June (Friday). A win here is crucial for TNC Predator’s hopes of an upper bracket berth in the playoffs.

  • Choo Jian "MoZuN" Goh

NEW Esports, on the other hand, will be the happier of the two sides. Following their victory over T1 and a tie against Adroit, the team managed to tie TNC Predator as well, to secure 2nd place in the Group Stage table of the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League.

Of course, it should be noted that it is still very early in the group stages. Teams like Fnatic, BOOM Esports and Geek Fam are yet to play a single game in this tournament since they were competing in the latter stages of the BTS Pro Series 2: Southeast Asia tournament.

So things can change swiftly in the points table. Regardless, NEW Esports has put up a good showing so far. Their next match in the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League will be against Neon Esports on 25th June.
