This is actually happening?!
Valve has announced that they will start issuing invitations to Artifact 2.0’s closed beta test next week.
Valve’s announcement stated that the beta invites should roll out before 25th May 2020. They also clarified that invites to the new beta will only be issued to the players who purchased the original game before 30th March 2020. The company also clarified that the invites will be sent out at random and that the company will not be giving special privileges to gaming influencers or the press.
The announcement also indicates that Artifact 2.0 will move to open beta in the future, but the exact date was not specified. The developers added that "tournaments and draft modes, other than Hero Draft," wouldn't be available until more players are added to the beta.
Valve also stated that in the new version, cards are unlocked through gameplay and that they will not be selling cards/decks. It also clarified that individual cards are likely to have been changed, removed, or brand new; so old decks and stats wouldn’t be valid.
