A lot of Dota 2 fans were shocked and surprised after Peter “PPD” Dager made an announcement stating that he was retiring from the game earlier last month. He explained that he no longer has the grit nor the ambition to compete at the highest level. Hence he chose to retire.

However, it looks like the decision to retire from competitive Dota 2 has not stopped PPD from pursuing other interests in gaming. The player has been playing a lot of Classic World of Warcraft on his stream.

In one of those sessions, he revealed that he wouldn’t have retired from competitive Dota 2 if TI10 was not postponed.

“I definitely would have kept playing until TI if there was no COVID, for sure.”

He also adds that he was about to get on a plane to come to America for the cancelled ESL One LA Major before Trump announced the travel ban.

Perhaps, PPD’s former teammate, Universe would also have postponed his retirement if TI10 wasn’t postponed.
