  • ONE Esports and PGL have officially cancelled the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2020.
  • With Valve announcing the indefinite postponement of The International 10, this was expected.
  • Earlier, the ONE Esports Dota 2 Invitational Jakarta which was due to take place in April 2020 was also cancelled.

PGL has officially announced the cancellation of ONE Esports Singapore Major 2020 due to the current lockdowns across the world. The Singapore Major was scheduled to be the last major of the 2019/2020  Dota Pro Circuit season.

Originally it was scheduled to be held from 20th - 28th June in Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. PGL and ONE Esports had partnered to host the tournament, but unfortunately, it looks like the event had to be cancelled due to the current lockdown situation prevailing in Singapore and neighbouring countries.

With Valve announcing the indefinite postponement of The International 10, this isn’t really too big of a surprise. However, the official cancellation of the tournament is still a welcome announcement considering the adverse effects of hosting a tournament of this magnitude in the midst of the lockdown.
