Big Upset: BOOM Esports Beat Fnatic in their Opening Match of ESL One LA Online

BOOM Esports have managed to take a series off Fnatic in their opening match of the ESL One LA Online SEA Division tournament. This was a big upset, considering the fact that Fnatic is the only SEA team who had qualified to all 3 DPC Majors this season.

Many expected a one-sided stomp and their predictions were seemingly true when Fnatic won Game 1 with ease on the back of some incredible outplays and a ridiculous draft. However, BOOM Esports came back into the series by winning the second game when Fnatic picked an even more unorthodox draft.

This proved to be Fnatic’s undoing as BOOM Esports crushed them in Game 3, dominating it throughout to claim the victory in the series.

BOOM Esports will now play Geek Fam in their next series, while Fnatic will take on Adroit.
