The 3rd Major of the season, the first-ever North American Dota 2 Major, the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major will be postponed indefinitely, the tournament organisers announced. They also stated that the tournament will be rehosted at a new time and a new location.
Esports reporter, Rod “Slasher” Breslau confirmed that this decision was a “direct result of Trump's travel suspension from Europe to the US as players and casters were worried about how they would get home.”
He also stated that Valve and ESL have confirmed to the teams that the tournament will be fully cancelled.
This will have massive implications for the DPC considering the fact that 15,000 DPC points were on the line. Removing those points from the equation will be a disservice to the teams who had to fight their way into the event.
