Dota 2’s Newest Bug: Pro Players like Arteezy become Heralds!

Well, it looks like the MMR system broke again. This time, instead of giving player’s free MMR Dota 2 pushed down Immortal tier players to the Herald tier. This was just a visual bug though, as pro players continued to be matched against other Immortal players based on their MMR.

This was first spotted by popular streamer, Mihai "canceL^^" Antonio who Tweeted that he is finally back to his “real mmr!”.

Later pro players like Vanskor and Ghostik also reported the same issue.

Later when Artour "Arteezy" Babaev decided to stream his games, he was also placed in ‘the Herald Bracket’.

This bug is most likely caused by Valve’s newest patch which changed Ranked Matchmaking which removed Core/Support role separation.
