One of the strongest teams in the SEA region, on paper, Cloud9 have been knocked out of the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major SEA Open Qualifiers after a fatal misstep against Thai team Motivade.Trust Gaming.

Their team's carry Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong was the architect of this win, putting in a phenomenal performance as the Faceless Void, carrying his team to victory.

The team will not be able to compete in the ESL One LA Major and the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 as well, as a result.

This was the first rendezvous of the Cloud9 team, after their recent formation. The team will now have to wait for the Open Qualifiers of the fourth major of the season, Epicenter 2020 Major to compete in the Dota Pro Circuit 2019-20.

Considering the fact that the team had announced that they would be looking to move to North America, after kicking off the season in SEA, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is the conclusion of their stint in the Southeast Asian region.

T1 and Lowkey Esports seem to be the favourites to clinch the two spots in the SEA Regional qualifiers.
