They’ve done it. Evil Geniuses make a scintillating comeback to finally end Nigma’s winning streak and push them down to the Lower Brackets of DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major.

EG will now face the winner of the Vici Gaming/Invictus Gaming matchup in the next round of the Upper Brackets.

Nigma vs Evil Geniuses

Game 1: Nigma managed to easily snowball to victory in the first game of the matchup. Both their cores had flawless performances, with no deaths and dominated the game right from the get-go. Evil Geniuses simply couldn’t find a foothold in this game, despite making multiple gank attempts to arrest Nigma’s momentum. Nigma closed out the game and secured victory in 26 minutes.

Game 2: Evil Geniuses struck back in game 2 pulling out a Naga Siren - Disruptor combo which allowed them to handily teamfights, providing them with a much-needed leg-up in the second game. The combo consistently managed to find multi-man Static Storms, allowing Arteezy to rake in the farm and carry his team to victory.

Game 3: EG dominated the entirety of the third game. However, they could only claim the victory in the 52-minute mark thanks to W33ha’s Tinker delaying the game for quite a long time. Eventually, Evil Geniuses managed to farm themselves an overwhelming 40k Net Worth lead to claim the win and the series.

Nigma will now have to go through the Lower Brackets if they are to win the tournament. Will they replicate their runs at The International 9 and The WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020 here?
