Geek Fam Eliminated from the WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020

Lower Bracket runs are becoming a standard Team Nigma signature. Following a scintillating lower-bracket run at The International 2019, the ex-Liquid lineup has managed to make it all the way to the Grand Finals after beating Geek Fam to kick off the final day of the Minor.

Geek Fam were simply unable to match Team Nigma’s level of aggression and sheer skill and ended up finishing in 3rd place securing 110 DPC points as well as $54,000 USD in prize winnings.

Game 1: Geek Fam managed to get off to a great start winning two out of the three lanes and raced off to a 6k net worth lead on the back of multiple towers. Miracle, on the other hand, kept farming to keep Nigma in the game.

Nigma managed to turn the game around, in the later phases after their cores got too strong to handle. Geek Fam simply lacked the damage to deal with Miracle’s monstrous Phantom Lancer and ended up conceding the game.

Game 2: Unfortunately for Geek Fam, the second game was even more one-sided. Miracle and W33 managed to handily win their lanes allowing them to snowball to an easy victory.

Nigma will now face RNG for a spot in the DreamLeague Season 13: Leipzig Major.
