Geek Fam clean sweeps NiP to begin their journey at the WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020

The sole SEA representative in the WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020, Geek Fam managed to 2-0 PPD’s NiP to kick start their journey at the tournament.

The SEA team looked stellar and were clearly a level above the Europeans, as a unit. They move on to the Group A Winner’s Match. A win in that series (scheduled for tomorrow) will guarantee the team a place in the playoffs.

NiP vs Geek Fam

Game 1: The first game saw Geek Fam turn to a seasoned SEA staple, Huskar. They managed to win the laning phase, off their superior picks. However, NiP took control of the game after crucial mistakes by debutant Karl.

Geek Fam managed to turn the game around at the 26-minute mark with a scintillating teamfight, allowing them to make a comeback and eventually secure the win off it.

Game 2: Geek Fam dominated the 2nd game right from the get-go and easily rolled to victory, without giving NiP an inch.

NiP fight for survival against either RNG or Team Spirit depending on the results of the other game in their group. A loss here would eliminate PPD and co.
