It has been a long time coming, but TNC Predator have finally lost a LAN tournament this season, dropping out of the ONE Esports World Pro Invitational Singapore 2019 after a 2-1 loss to ViCi Gaming.

The team finishes in 7th-8th place taking home $10,000 in prize money. This also ends the LAN winning streak that TNC possessed after their triumphs at the WESG 2019: Philippines Finals, ESL One Hamburg 2019, WESG 2019: SEA Finals and the MDL: Chengdu Major.

TNC Predator vs ViCi Gaming

Game 1: The first game of the series was a very close affair. ViCI Gaming had a better start to the game, convincingly winning the early game and easily snowballing to a significant lead. But TNC Predator managed to keep the game even for quite a while and turned it around by the 39-minute mark with a massive teamwipe. They made their way back into the game and secured the comeback victory by the 65-minute mark.

Game 2: The second game also started in a similar fashion, but Vici Gaming managed to hold on to their laning phase victory to easily mow down TNC’s base on their way to a 33-minute victory. TNC simply had no answers for Ori’s Timbersaw.

Game 3: For the third time in a row, ViCi Gaming came out on top of the laning phase with a free farm Slark. Although TNC managed to hold down a decent defence right from the get-go, the problem was always that there was no control to hold down Eurus’ Slark. The player had free-reign to stamp his authority and easily lead his team to a series victory.

TNC Predator’s next tournament will be at The DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig Major. The team needs to work on its early game movements if it hopes to replicate its title-winning run at the first Major of the season.

Earlier in the day, Na’Vi were also eliminated from the tournament after a 2-0 loss against their fellow CIS team Virtus.Pro.
