TNC Predator Surpasses OG for the Number 1 Spot in ESL’s Dota 2 World Rankings

TNC Predator has been officially ranked as the number 1 Dota 2 team in the world, according to ESL’s Dota 2 world rankings.

TNC now sit at the top of the leaderboards with 1086 points as of 26th November 2019, with OG finally dropping down to 2nd place as a result of points decay. OG held the number 1 spot since the rankings were first introduced by ESL in October 2019.

The primary reasons for TNC Predator’s rapid rise to the top of the table are their recent triumphs at ESL One: Hamburg 2019 and the MDL Chengdu Major 2019. Both tournaments, which OG skipped, after their championship-winning run at The International 9.

This ESL ranking update could be an indicator that a new era of TNC’s dominance is on the horizon. However, the next set of premiere LAN tournaments which include ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore and the DreamLeague Season 13: Leipzig Major will be much bigger tests for the Filipino team, considering the fact that teams like Team Secret, PSG.LGD and Nigma have announced their return to the Dota 2 scene.
