vtFaded leaves EHOME: Why would I still be here as a “newbie in learning”?

Malaysian player, Cheng "vtF?ded" Jia Hao has left EHOME after a disappointing performance with the team at the MDL Chengdu Major 2019.

The player cited public criticism from EHOME’s coach, Zhang "xiao8" Ning as the reason for making this decision. Earlier this week, on his stream, xiao8 allegedly stated that the reason for EHOME’s poor performances at the MDL Chengdu Major was the Pos 1 and 2 players who “have no carry potential and are unable to carry the team to victory”.

vtF?ded states that he thinks that these comments are insensitive and a clear way of pushing the blame around. He also adds that it is detrimental to his confidence and that he went through this, every day in training. The player also admits that he wasn't good enough and that he is yet to develop "good decision making and the confidence to make calls like ame n paparazzi."

vtF?ded's full statement:

I would like to use this chance to announce that I will be taking a short break from dota and leaving ehome, however due to contract issues, I am still bound to the company and currently awaiting a buyout.

Xiao8 mentioned on his live stream that he felt ehome’s pos 1 n 2 have no carry potential and are unable to carry the team to victory. This may or may not be directly inferred As a blame for us losing in the majors, but I simply cannot stand by and not speak up for myself.

I know I still have lots to learn, and also am aware of the blunders I have committed during the major playoffs. However, I think his statement is not only insensitive, it is a clear way of pushing the blame around. Hence, I would like to use this chance to also speak up a little -

As you can imagine, how much impact this statement would have on the overall confidence of the person in question; this is something I went through every day in training. One may say I did not have the courage to pull through the castigation they lashed out on me, but not everyone flourishes by learning the hard way.

I am a person who is too easy going and am unable to maintain my stand when faced with bitter scrutiny coupled with ego tearing. Yes, I crumbled and fumbled because they made me feel like I wasn’t good enough.

If I were to have good decision making and the confidence to make calls like ame n paparazzi, why would I still be here as a “newbie in learning”?

Yes, I am new and I have lots to improve on. However, I don’t think it’s fair and it certainly doesn’t show professionalism in this statement.

All I know is I will keep fighting and hope I can find people who believe in me and give me confidence as like how real comrades would.

vtFaded joined EHOME after representing CHAOS EC at TI9. Although he has left the team, he states that he is waiting for a buyout due to contractual obligations. We are also yet to find out who will replace him in the EHOME lineup.
