One of the most successful Filipino players of last season, Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross has just announced that he is taking a break from the Dota 2 Pro Circuit. The player also says that he will consider streaming/casting during this break.

Last season, ninjaboogie competed alongside TNC Predator and Mineski. As a member of the TNC Predator, he managed to secure a 5th- 6th place at The Kuala Lumpur Major and a 9th-12th place at The Chongqing Major. After joining Mineski as their captain, he helped them qualify for MDL Disneyland® Paris Major and The International 2019. In Shanghai, the team finished in 9th-12th place, the highest amongst SEA teams.

After the conclusion of TI9, ninjaboogie announced that he had left Mineski and was looking for a new team. Unfortunately, it looks like he hasn’t found the right opportunity.

Although ninjaboogie will not be competing in the DPC, we might still get the opportunity to see him in action at the 2019 SEA Games. He has been shortlisted, as one of the potential candidates who will represent the Philippines Dota 2 team for the South East Asia Games 2019 which will be held from 30th November 2019 to 11th December 2019 in the Philippines.

The other players who are in this pool of potential candidates are:

  • Carlo “Kuku” Palad
  • Timothy John “Tims” Randrup
  • Kim “Gabbi” Santos
  • Armel “Armel” Tabios
  • Nico “Eyyou” Barcelon
  • Djardel “DJ” Mampusti
  • Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto
  • Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop
  • Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr.
  • Ryan Jay “Bimbo” Qui
