Dota 2 Hacks are steadily seeing a resurgence, over the course of the last few weeks. Multiple players and streamers including Mihai "canceL" Antonio and Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov have encountered hacking/cheating in their games.

So it was a welcome surprise to see Chinese authorities arrest 4 people for their roles in making and selling these hacks.

According to reports, these four individuals have earned nearly 1 Million Yuan (~$140,000 USD) from Dota 2 hacks.

This is not the first instance of China arresting Hackers for developing cheats/exploits in video games. Earlier this year, PUBG Corp. announced that “15 suspects were arrested for developing and selling hacking/cheating programs that affect PUBG.”

Perhaps this move will deter hackers from developing such exploits.
