The great Filipino hope, TNC Predator has been knocked out of the tournament after a disappointing 2-0 loss to former TI champions Team Liquid. The SEA team walks out of the International 9 with a 12th place finish. They secured over $674k USD as prize winnings.

Team Liquid vs TNC Predator

Game 1: TNC Predator started off this series well with a ton of kills and objectives taken in the early game which allowed Gabbi and Armel to farm up a storm on their heroes. However, a catastrophically bad fight at The Roshan Pit allowed Team Liquid to secure the Aegis and gave them a way back into the game.

TNC couldn’t deal with the overwhelming amount of heals that Kuroky’s chen was able to provide his team and ended up getting overrun in their base and were forced to call ‘GG’.

Game 2: TNC took control of the game once again, but once again Team Liquid managed to pressure TNC Predator into making multiple mistakes. The European team’s constant split-push, delayed and eventually ruined TNC’s push allowing Miracle to become a raidboss on his Anti Mage.

He decimated the entirety of the TNC lineup in the late-game to secure the win and send Liquid through to the next stage of the lower brackets.

After the loss, Armel said the following to all TNC fans:

Liquid will now advance to play RNG in the next round of the upper brackets
