Danish esports organization Heroic has come forward to state that both Casper ”cadiaN” Moller and Rene “TeSeS” Madsen have tested positive for COVID-19. The update further states that the lineup has since been separated, with the remaining players either going back home or being isolated in their respective hotel rooms. Heroic who is one of the favorites to win the currently ongoing DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 has suffered a slight setback but the organization is doing everything to contain the situation. They will continue their journey ahead in the tournament facing off against BIG later today, as their coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen returns back to join the CS:GO roster following his ESIC ban.
TeSeS and CadiaN test positive for COVID-19
As the global pandemic continues to be a relevant threat, Heroic has come forward to give a rather grim update about their Danish lineup. The organization put out a statement informing that despite them taking all possible precautions before planning the boot camp for DH Masters Spring, both cadiaN and TeSeS have tested positive for COVID-19.
“Unfortunately our beloved players cadiaN and TeSeS have tested positive for COVID-19 after yesterday’s match against paiN Gaming. Casper is experiencing mild symptoms, and Rene is not experiencing any symptoms at all. Both players have chosen to play in the match against BIG today.”
The above statement along with updates given by both the players clarifies that they are not in any serious situation at the moment. CadiaN said that he took every possible precaution and is “really gutted” for this to have happened to them while adding that “So far, I am ok during the circumstances, and the same goes for TeSeS,” who also gave a similar statement.
The ESL Pro League Season 13 champions are one of the favorites to win the currently ongoing tournament due to their sublime form, which they have continued to hold so far. CadiaN is a big part of the team’s success, showcasing his capable leadership qualities and the ability to pull off impossible clutches out of the blue.
They will be stepping out later today with the full lineup against BIG, as their coach HUNDEN also returns to help out the lineup after having served his 8-month ESIC ban. This victory would mean everything for Heroic, as it will give all the players a much needed two-day break for resting. Let’s see how tonight’s faceoff between the two European rivals pans out.
