  • French VAC banned CS:GO player Kyojin reveals that he is "Eligible to compete in official Valve events".
  • The VAC ban against Kyojin has apparently been cleared by Valve following a "full investigation" of the matter.
  • This is not the first time that a professional CS:GO player has been cleared of a VAC ban placed against them.

Talented French CS:GO player Jayson 'Kyojin' Nguyen Van who had received a VAC (Valve Anti Cheat) ban from Valve a few years back, has now been cleared by the developers themselves following a “full investigation” in the matter. The 22-year-old rifler from France had been attempting to get an “official validation from Valve for a long time, to answer the past rumours (about his VAC ban) about me and clear my name”. It seems that Valve has officially cleared the VAC ban against Kyojin as stated by him on 4 April 2021, that he is “eligible to compete in official Valve events”.

Though it is unclear how or why Kyojin had received a VAC ban from Valve as per CS:GO users on Reddit, he was handed an unfair ban by developers which has now successfully been proved by the player following the investigation.

The alleged story of the incident is as follows, when Kyojin was just 8 years old he had played CS:GO from an already VAC banned account. Later on, when the player grew up he created his own official Steam account and started playing CS:GO competitively through it, which was then handed a VAC ban by Valve in 2018 due to the player’s connection with the earlier account.

Though it took around 2-3 years for the player to prove his innocence, it seems the VAC ban charge against his account has now been dropped by Valve as he is now eligible to participate in official Valve tournaments. In a statement released by the player himself, he said that,

“From today, I have the pleasure to announce a news which is particularly precious to me and will probably change my life. I wanted to have an official validation from Valve for a long time, to answer the past rumours about me and clear my name.

A few weeks ago, Jérôme Coupez proposed to help me conduct a full investigation with Valve and after a lot of hard work and discussions, I'm happy to announce that I'm officially eligible to participate in Valve events! What can I say... I'm extremely excited and will give 100% of myself from today on the game. I can promise you that you won't be disappointed.”

Kyojin has already played with a lot of top CS:GO players like Nabil “Nivera“ Benrlitom, Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier, and Jordan "Python" Munck-Foehrle, with him being eligible to participate in Valve sponsored tournaments once again, a lot of professional players in the scene reacted positively to his announcement.

This is not the first time that Valve has removed a VAC ban placed against a professional CS:GO player. Earlier in 2018, Swedish player Robin "robiin" Sjögren had also been cleared by Valve following a review of his case.
