  • Olofmeister will stand-in for FaZe Clan to fill in for NiKo.
  • YNk steps down from his position following NiKo's departure.
  • FaZe Clan will be playing against BIG later today.

FaZe Clan had been reduced to a four-man roster following the transfer of Nikola "NiKo" Kovac over to G2 Esports. But with their BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Regular Season match about to take place later today the organization had to complete their lineup for which they have decided to let Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson stand-in and play for the team temporarily.

Despite their complete roster FaZe Clan will be playing without their coach Janko "YNk" Paunovic who stepped down yesterday following NiKo’s transfer to G2 Esports. He had been with the organization for more than a year but due to the team’s recent slump, he has decided to walk away stating that “I've done my best to try and amend but unfortunately without much success.”

The 28-year-old legendary rifler who has been absent from competitive Counter-Strike for more than 5 months now will be once again adorning the FaZe Clan jersey for BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Regular Season as he replaces NiKo on the lineup.

He had stepped down from the active roster in May earlier this year due to fatigue and lack of motivation. Now recovered and rejuvenated he once again steps into the middle of all the action and has been spotted practicing on FACEIT since the last few days.

His position on the team is still temporary and depending on the team’s performance in the event the organization might decide their next steps. They also need a new coach as YNk also parted ways with them soon after NiKo moved to G2 Esports.

YNk Part Ways With FaZe Clan

The Serbian coach who had been with the team for more than 18 months left the organization yesterday just hours after NiKo announced his transfer to G2 Esports. In a TwitLonger post, he stated that the team had been struggling with a few issues both in and out of the game.

Despite his best efforts, he was not able to solve these problems and because of this “I feel that the best way to move forward is for the team and myself to part ways and, with NiKo going to G2, give the players and the organization the opportunity to get a new coach and IGL who can work on taking the team forward.”

YNk further announced that he would be taking a break till the end of this year and start on a new journey beginning 2021. Having said that he also made it clear that he still loves the game and his profession of coaching a team, so most likely he would be making a comeback as a coach for some other CS:GO team.
