Senior Astralis member Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth has announced his return to Astralis’ active roster for BLAST Premier Fall 2020. The 25-year-old will be returning to competitive Counter-Strike after an absence of almost 5 months as the current members of the Danish roster welcome him back.

Xyp9x Will Finally Be Returning To Astralis’ Active Roster

The Dane will be making his return after taking a break of almost 5 months due to prolonged fatigue and burnout. Now rejuvenated and eager to comeback he will be seen in action at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 European Regular Season which is scheduled to take place later this month.

He is the only member of the Astralis lineup which has been announced for that tournament, who he will be replacing on the team is yet to be seen. The Dane has been observed practicing with the team quite a few times in recent weeks, the latest instance witnessed him practicing on ESEA Refrag with Lukas “gla1ve“ Rossander, Emil “Magisk” Reif, Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and their coach Danny “zonic” Sorensen.

According to a tweet by gla1ve it seems that Astralis wanted to play the upcoming DreamHack Open Fall 2020 with Xyp9x but as the change would result in a RMR point penalty, they have decided to go forward with the same lineup that won them ESL Pro League Season 12.

This announcement has been awaited for quite some time now as Xyp9x himself had dropped a hint about his return on 31st August when he congratulated Heroic for winning ESL One Cologne 2020 which also doubled up as a friendly warning as the Dane stated that they can “Enjoy it while it lasts.”

Unfortunately, Astralis were able to achieve this feat with out any help from the clutch minister’s as they eliminated Heroic from ESL Pro League Season 12 after defeating them ‘2-0’ in their lower bracket finals match up.

It will be interesting to see what lineup do the Danes assemble around Xyp9x for the BLAST Premier Fall tournament. Maybe we will also get to see Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen in action again as well.
