Duncan "Thorin" Shields has struck once again as he harshly criticises former MIBR in-game leader Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo. In a series of Tweets made by him yesterday, Thorin goes on to say that FalleN is still talked about in reference to his 2017 exploits, he is the only IGL who does not get blamed, and that “he has done more to harm Brazilian Counter-Strike in the last 2.5 years than help.”
Thorin Harshly Criticises FalleN
Following MIBR’s decision to undergo changes which saw the organization part ways with fer, TACO, and dead, the whole Brazilian CS:GO community was shaken up. The decision which was solely made by the management was called out as being unfair by a large majority of supporters, to which Thorin had replied by saying that no other organization has given any team more chances than MIBR and well now it is being blamed for the failures.
Now once again ‘the esports historian’ has spoken up, this time against FalleN who had willingly stepped down from the MIBR roster dissatisfied with the decision. Thorin straight up said that FalleN has done more damage to the Brazilian Counter-Strike scene in the last 2.5 years than help it and still, the crowd keeps doing “his PR work for him.”
He further says that the only thing about FalleN which is talked about by the talents is his achievements from 2017 and that everyone “refuses to talk about who he is in 2020.” Thorin points out that the Brazilian is the only IGL that is never blamed “for achieving garbage results and having players rot on the vine over and over.”
At the time of writing this article, FalleN had not replied to any of these statements made against him and the last interaction from his side was his statement to step down from MIBR’s active roster. There has been no news about what the future plans of any of the benched players are with there being a few hints connecting TACO to a potential Cloud9 signing.
