Complexity might have secured a ‘2-1’ win against Fnatic yesterday but it was not enough to stop Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke from raising his voice against Valve. The Dane was furious with Valve following William “RUSH“ Wierzba’s mid-round game crash on Nuke which resulted in a round loss that left the whole team flustered leading to a lost map.
k0nfig Calls Out Valve
Complexity continued their unbeaten streak after taking down Fnatic ‘2-1’ yesterday but despite the victory, k0nfig had a few complaints against Valve which he spoke about during the post-game interview.
After RUSH disconnected mid-round on Nuke due to a sudden game crash which resulted in a round loss and left the whole team agitated that further led to a lost map, a not so happy k0nfig said that,
“It happens so many times in practices as well where the game just shuts down or randomly closes or it lags and stuff. Just go fix your game man, like we are playing for a lot of money here. Fix your game.”
Tres "stunna" Saranthus and co were not too surprised by the response as they seemed to be in agreement with what k0nfig had to say. I don’t think anyone belonging to the CS:GO community would go against the Dane on this statement as we have all faced this situation at least once.
Valve has recently had a lot on its plate as it gave a statement against the coach spectator bug just a few days back while also announcing the cancellation of the Rio Major 2020. It has also reportedly fixed some instances of the spectator bug while actively monitoring the situation.
But at the end of the day, Counter-Strike is a game that has been out there since more than a decade and if random game crashes are still occurring on the daily then that raises a lot of questions and explains k0nfig’s frustration.
