The CS:GO community has had a lot to talk about ever since ESL handed out bans to three coaches in regards to the coach spectator bug. As the news spread talents and players alike started to come forward with their opinions, but one comment in particular which received heavy criticism was made by Sergey "starix" Ischuk who straight up said that “Valve covered up flusha cheating because it would kill the game." Speaking on the topic Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev went on to reveal what some of the players from tier-1 CIS teams thought about Robin "flusha" Ronnquist back in 2014.
S1mple Speaks About Flusha
The Ukrainian star who is considered to be one of the best players in the world while speaking about flusha revealed that back in 2014 most of the CS:GO players belonging to tier-1 CIS teams used to believe that the Swede was a cheater.
“I remember these discussions on the bus at DreamHack Jonkoping and I think I was the only one who didn’t consider him a cheater.”
Talking about a time during DreamHack Jonkoping when he was travelling in a bus with other players, s1mple remembers being the only player out there who did not consider flusha to be a cheater.
S1mple further said that they even had a discussion at the time on what starix had said yesterday about Valve trying to cover up the fact that flusha was cheating as it would kill the game while adding that “impossible for Valve to risk so much (in case) it turned out to be true.”
What starix had said was certainly met with a lot of criticism but it is also not the first time that flusha had been called out a cheater, the fact that starix had blamed Valve for covering up the Swede’s cheating in order to protect Counter-Strike is what agitated many in the community.
At the end of the day, there is no hard evidence or proof of any kind to prove that flusha is a cheater and just putting out random statements is not a great way to deal with things. It only adds up to the pile of mess that CS:GO currently finds itself in with no answers coming from Valve, who remain tight-lipped about the whole situation.
