Canadian CS:GO talent Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett who has been absent from the competitive Counter-Strike scene since February this year dropped a hint yesterday announcing his possible comeback to the game in 2021. Usually working as a caster alongside Henry "HenryG" Greer, Sadokist was last seen working as a commentator at ICE Challenge 2020 which was one of the last CS:GO LAN events to take place in 2020.
Sadokist Might Return To CS:GO In 2021
The Canadian caster and host who is widely considered to be one of the best Counter-Strike talents out there has dropped a massive hint about his possible return to the game next year. The following hint was dropped by the talent himself while responding to a Tweet made by Betway Esports.
While responding to the Tweet which read “The BIGGEST COMEBACK in CS history was ___________ “ Sadokist replied by saying “Next year.” This was enough for the whole community to celebrate the talent’s return, they were seen applauding him for his casting something that Sadokist has been doing since 2014.
Currently, the talent is enjoying his time off Counter-Strike following his other passions and desires but it seems that CS:GO is not completely off his mind as Sadokist is already planning a return in 2021.
The last big tournament where Sadokist worked as a commentator was IEM Beijing 2019 where he was seen casting alongside his regular partner HenryG. He went on to cast EPICENTER 2019 and ICE Challenge 2020 as well before taking a break.
It is unclear if upon his return Sadokist will be interested in continuing working as a caster or shift towards a position on the desk, maybe as a host or an analyst. This is because before taking a break the talent had expressed his desire to try out something different like working the desk and that is why he took on the role of a desk host during StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.
It will be close to a year if and when Sadokist comes back as a CS:GO talent. Let’s see what role he decides to take up and in what all events do we get to see him.
