SPUNJ Might End His Career as a CS:GO Talent in 2021

Australian Counter-Strike talent Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill is considering changing careers next year according to a Tweet that he posted yesterday. The 31-year-old analyst and caster who is also a former CS:GO and Counter-Strike:Source player is a prominent personality within the CS:GO community who is currently working as a commentator at the ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online - Europe.

SPUNJ Looking To Change Careers In 2021

SPUNJ may no longer work as a Counter-Strike talent within the competitive circuit starting 2021 according to a couple of Tweets made by the man himself earlier yesterday. The first post made by SPUNJ witnesses the talent talk about how he might go on to coach a Fortnite team in 2021, this statement was met with a lot of sarcasm from community members who knew that he was joking around.

But the second post was what turned the whole situation around as SPUNJ in all seriousness stated that he was looking for a new career in 2021. The 31-year-old is still not sure what he might do next year but he is considering changing careers quite seriously.

The people commenting on the post were quite sad upon hearing this news but most of them were understanding and supportive of the decision taken by SPUNJ.

During his 8 year stint as a player with Australian teams like Sydney Underground, Vox Eminor, Renegades, and more, SPUNJ played at the highest level nationally and even represented the region in many international tournaments. He became a talent in 2016 and has since then been a part of many tier-one tournaments like PGL Major Krakow 2017, FACEIT Major: London 2018, IEM Katowice Major 2019, StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, and may other really big CS:GO tournaments.
