- According to reports Kjaerbye might replace Bymas to join FaZe Clan.
- Bymas has not performed up to mark in his time with FaZe Clan so far.
- Kjaerbye has been out of action since almost three-months now.
Reports suggest that 22-year-old Dane Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjaerbye might soon be replacing the 16-year-old Lithuanian Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras from FaZe Clan’s active lineup. Though no official statement has been made by any of the parties involved a report by Cybersport.pl states that Bymas who is currently on trial is set to be replaced by the former North rifler.

Report: FaZe Clan Might Sign Kjaerbye
The Danish rifler has been absent from top-tier competitive Counter-Strike for quite some time now. Ever since stepping down from North’s active lineup back in May due to several health issues, Kjaerbye has not returned to the scene.
This in part can be attributed to the fact that he was dropped from North’s lineup last month after missing out on several important tournaments. There has been no update since from the Dane who has maintained kind of a low profile, initially it was rumored that he might be approached by Astralis but nothing ever transpired between the two.
Now a month later out of the blue reports are coming in that FaZe Clan is interested in signing him and in the process are ready to let go of the young Lithuanian talent Bymas who shot to fame after performing really well at the FACEIT Pro League.
But ever since joining FaZe Clan his performance has not been up to the mark, though having great potential the same has not been exhibited by the player. In the last three months, he has held an overall rating of just 0.95 with an impact rating of 0.85, the fact that he has a DPR (Death Per Round) of 0.67 is a clear reflection that the player is struggling.
There is insufficient data to judge Kjaerbye’s current form as he has been absent from top-tier CS:GO for close to 3 months now, but his reputation obviously precedes him as he already is a one-time Major winner. Securing the championship as part of Astralis back in 2017 by winning the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta.
FaZe Clan was left with a vacant spot on their CS:GO roster in late May following Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson’s indefinite departure due to lack of motivation and fatigue. Though the vacancy was temporarily filled, their disastrous performance at cs_summit 6 Online: Europe where they failed to make it past the group stage raised a lot of red flags.
Maybe FaZe Clan have realized that they need a more robust lineup before entering the third and final major qualifier of the year and Kjaerbye does not seem like a bad pick at all.
If the reports turn out to be true, FaZe Clan’s active lineup may look as follows,
- Håvard “rain” Nygaard
- Nikola “NiKo” Kova? [IGL]
- Marcelo “coldzera” David
- Helvijs “broky” Saukants
- Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjaerbye
