  • Recent Modern Warfare leaks indicate upcoming CS:GO inspired weapon inspection animations.
  • The side-to-side weapon animation to show off a skin is soon coming to MW and Warzone.
  • There is no set date for the release of this update which might be in early development.

Counter-Strike is more than just a game that inspires gamers, over the course of the last 20 years the game has established itself as one of the best online multiplayer ever created. This is one of the big factors why many other publishers and gaming titles look up to Counter-Strike when they are in need of a positive change. The latest to enter this list is none other than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone.

Modern Warfare Takes Inspiration From CS:GO

Modern Warfare and Warzone are drawing some positive inspiration from CS:GO in the form of weapon inspection animations that are soon coming to the two gaming titles as per leaks by u/BruhEmoji3.

As can be seen in the video above, Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward is thinking of releasing weapon inspection animations for all of its weaponry and to say the least, just one look is enough to figure out where those particular animations have been inspired from.

These animations have previously not existed in the two games but as both of them offer such a wide array of weaponry and plenty of attachments to customize them, along with the ability to adjust their visual appearance to suit every individual’s need. The only hindrance that a player currently faces is the unavailability of a feature that allows them to show off their weapons in all its glory.

Similar to how CS:GO players can inspect all of their weaponry from side-to-side at any point of time in-game to show off their hard-earned weapon skins to others, even Modern Warfare and Warzone players will be able to do the same now. The animation according to the leak is very similar to that of Counter-Strike’s.

Weapon inspection animation for MP5, Grau 5.56, and RAM-7 has been shown in the leak, and it seems that both the sub-machine guns and the assault rifles have the exact same animation. This is something that the developers might work upon as these are just early leaks, refining these animations before the release is a definite possibility.

Also, animations for sidearms, heavy machine guns, and other things like a rocket launcher were not observed in the leaked video. The difference in size and the way those weapons are generally held might see these weapons getting a different animation as well.

As of now, it is not definite when this update will be rolling out. The leaked video being data mined from game files could mean that these functions are still in early development. But Call of Duty players can now start stashing up on all that bling, preparing in advance for this upcoming feature.
