CS:GO Pro Karrigan Reveals the Reason for his Poor Performance

• Karrigan revealed that he has been having a hard time lately when it comes to resetting himself mentally.
  
  
• The player revealed the amount of effort he has been putting in ever since IEM Katowice 2020.
  
  
• He further talks about his on-going vacation which has helped him recover and promises to come back stronger.

The IGL of mousesports Finn “karrigan” Andersen along with his teammates has faced heavy criticism over their recent performances at both Road to Rio and DreamHack Masters Spring. Speaking personally on the matter karrigan gives a glimpse of as to why he was not able to perform, the 30-year-old via an emotional Instagram post stated that “Not gonna lie, since corona started I have had a hard time finding a good way to reset mentally.”

He went on to explain how in the past when LAN tournaments were still a thing, he used to come back home and take a small breather to reset himself and then slowly pick the pace to start the grind for the next tournament. But since the shift to online tournaments took place this balance has been disturbed for karrigan. 

“I have worked my ass off since Katowice and lately especially last 1-2 months I had above 150 hours pr. 2 weeks, with watching demos, inventing new playbook, playing individually and hard practice with the team besides official games.”

Karrigan explained that due to all this he has not been his usual self as of late and has been making small unfocussed mistakes while playing. He further revealed that since their elimination from DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 which took place on 24^th May, he decided to go on a vacation.

Still vacationing, he stated his plans for the coming future saying that “I will try to maintain a more balanced work schedule so I don’t end up in the same situation.” Thanking the fans for their support during this hard time, he concluded on a positive note stating that mousesports will come back stronger in the coming weeks.

Mousesports has not been having a great time lately facing back-to-back loses at ESL One: Road to Rio - Europe and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe, where they failed to even make their way past the group stage.

The team who started the year placed second on the HLTV global rankings, held their spot for eight consecutive weeks before giving it up to Na’Vi. Since then they have dropped down to the fourth position on the rank list. Let’s see how they manage to get out of this rut.
