The Indonesian Esports organization BOOM Esports has signed the ex-INTZ lineup consisting of an all Brazilian roster. With this signing BOOM now operates two CS:GO teams, one in Indonesia and the other in Brazil.
The new team which is being referred to as BOOM Esports Brazil will consist of the following players,
- Gustavo "yeL" Knittel [IGL]
- Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
- Bruno "shz" Martinelli
- Ricardo "Boltz" Prass
- João "felps" Cabral Vasconcellos
- Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci [Coach]
Gary Ongko Putera - CEO and Founder of BOOM Esports said that,
“This year gave us various opportunities to acquire players and teams globally. I saw the ex-INTZ roster as our best choice. Their common vision and mission to become a legendary team were definitely aligned to ours. With our support, we hope they can realize their dreams and full potential and become the world's best CS: GO team.”
While Alessandro “Apoka” Marcucci coach of the current lineup said that their aim is to be one of the top fifteen teams this year. “With BOOM’s support, we are even more confident of achieving that. I sincerely hope we can grow together and bring BOOM’s name to even greater heights within the CS:GO scene.”
BOOM Esports Brazil will make its first appearance at ESL Pro League Season 11, where it will be going up against 23 other top CS:GO teams competing for a $750,000 prize pool.
The Indonesian CS:GO roster operated by BOOM Esports is not amongst the top SEA teams but certainly holds its own within Indonesia. Let’s see how well does their Brazilian acquisition works out for them.
