The rumours once again stand true as the Russian Esports organization, Virtus.pro has completed the signing of the AVANGAR roster.

Virtus.pro who were recently seen participating in cs_summit 5 with their former Polish roster, had a good run at the American tournament. They placed 3rd - 4th making their way to the semifinals of the tournament, where they lost to G2 Esports.

The announcement marks the beginning of a new era for Virtus.pro who after sticking with a Polish dominant side for almost six years, is signing a roster dominated by players from Kazakhstan.

AVANGAR shot to success at the Berlin Major 2019, finishing as the runners-up after conceding a defeat to Astralis in the finals. They continued on the path of success, going on to win BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019, but fell shortly after securing 5th - 6th placement at CAC 2019 and finishing last at ECS Season 8 - Finals.

Everyone except Dauren "AdreN"  Kystaubayev will be playing for the Russian organization for the first time. AdreN will be coming back to the organization after being a part of VP back in 2012 when the organization had stepped into the CS:GO circuit for the first time ever.

Roman Dvoryankin - Virtus.pro General Manager, said that

“It’s a big day for VP as we open a new chapter in our Counter-Strike history. Right now we have one of the world’s youngest lineups both in Dota 2 and CS:GO and it’s a solid foundation for our further development.

Six years with a Polish lineup have been an unforgettable experience and I would like to thank our fans who have done an outstanding job supporting us throughout the years.”

Dzhami “Jame” Ali - IGL for Virtus.pro, also had a few things to say

“It’s an exciting moment for all of us. We’re thrilled to become a part of one of the biggest esports brands in the world and will do our best to bring VP back to the top ranks of CS. On behalf of our team, I would like to thank AVANGAR management for their trust in us, we wouldn’t be here without their support.”

The new Virtus.pro lineup is all set to represent the organization at EPICENTER 2019, where they have will be going up against EG, their local rivals forZe, and the team which is currently on fire mousesports.

Let’s see how the new lineup works out for Virtus.pro, do they make a deep run or fall out early in the tournament?

The new Virtus.pro roster is as follows,

  • Dzhami "Jame" Ali
  • Alexey "qikert" Golubev
  • Timur "buster" Tulepov
  • Sanjar "SANJI" Kuliev
