With the race between Astralis and Team Liquid on, in the finals of ECS Season 8 - Finals, which obviously both the teams are keen on winning. One guy who walks off with something great whether his team wins or loses is Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip, who is on his way to becoming the first American counter-strike player to amass 1 million dollars in prize money.

He is currently ranked just behind the Astralis line-up of Xyp9x, dupreeh, dev1ce, gla1ve, and Magisk on the list of highest-earning counter-strike players. Co-incidentally the trio of Xyp9x, dupreeh, and dev1ce became the first counter-strike players to cross the million-dollar mark after winning the Season 6 - Finals of ECS last year in November.

Though Stewie2k might not be able to move up on the rank list he will surely be achieving a great feat, adding another feather to his cap, while proving the growth of the NA region in recent times.

This year the two teams have faced each other in a do-or-die situation a total of four times, with victory favouring the Danes in 75% of these cases. With the finale between the two teams set to go down in less than ten hours, it will be interesting to see if Liquid can steal a victory in an attempt to balance out the stats while walking away as the champions or do the Danes continue to dominate the American side.
