TYLOO are the winners of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019

The final day of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019 witnessed TYLOO make its way through the semifinals, to go ahead and lift the trophy after defeating ViCi Gaming in the finals. The Chinese team was one of the favourites to win the tournament and lived up to the expectations, dropping just one map throughout its course.

The first three-game series saw TYLOO go up against Bren. The two teams started out on Inferno, where the Filipino line-up despite giving a close fight till around the tenth round was not able to keep pace, faltering on its way to the finish line.

But Bren fought back on Dust 2 and drew the scoreline by taking down the Chinese side in a well-contested map. Down to a decider, TYLOO was able to defeat Bren on Train, a map on which the Filipino side had been undefeated till now within the tournament. With this TYLOO were in the finals, going up against their local rivals ViCi Gaming.

The classic Chinese derby started off on Mirage, which turned out to be a nightmare for ViCi. ViCi had its worst game of the tournament as they were defeated by a score of ‘16-3’. Going into the final map of the tournament, TYLOO registered another victory on Train as they took down ViCi in back-to-back games to win the tournament.

TYLOO having dropped just one map in the course of the tournament went on to lift the trophy in Shanghai, walking away with a prize of $40,000 and becoming the new champions of ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019.

Each player from TYLOO was performing well as the team played like a well-oiled machine. The addition of ryk as their new coach seems to be working for the Chinese side. But the key player, who was also the most consistent for his side, almost always top fragging for them was none other than the Indonesian star BnTeT, who rightfully won the MVP award for the tournament.

The Chinese team who had been going through a slump seems to have found its way back with an eventful week which saw them qualify for ESL Pro League Season 10 - Finals and win ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019.
