Filip ‘NEO’ Kubski took to Instagram today to let the world know that he is now a father! His post was met with congratulatory replies from many prominent figures in the CS:GO community such as commentator Alex ‘Machine’ Richardson, Astralis coach Danny ‘zonic’ Sørensen and North rifler Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye.

NEO is widely considered to be one of the greatest players to have played the game during the Counter-Strike 1.6 era, where he was part of the infamous ‘Golden Five’ Polish lineup. He was recently released from his role as a substitute for FaZe Clan before which he was part of Virtus.pro.

So far, no announcements have been made about whether or not NEO will return to competitive CS:GO. When he parted ways with Virtus pro in February 2019, he mentioned that he was open to offers both inside the server and outside of it. Perhaps that mindset will change or at least take a breather now, as he takes on daddy duties for his newborn child.

Here’s wishing him and his family all the very best!
