BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019 came to an end today with AVANGAR going on to win the tournament after a full three-game showdown against their local rivals forZe.

Despite Na’Vi not making it to the finale, the crowd was up on their feet as both the CIS Play-In teams were in the finals, which went down to a decider with both the teams giving it their level best.

Berlin runners up win it big in Moscow

Both the CIS Play-In teams had an amazing group stage securing three wins apiece and stepping into the finals to see which team had it in them to take home a lions share of the $250,000 prize pool.

Overpass
AVANGAR - 16
forZe - 13

The match started on AVANGAR’s map pick, Overpass. Despite a rough initial start, AVANGAR were able to get a hang on the situation as they finished the half with a slight lead. But forZe kept the pressure, not letting them run away with an easy victory.

AVANGAR had to put in every bit of an effort to win the following map and take a ‘1-0’ lead in the three-game series.

Inferno
AVANGAR - 12
forZe - 16

forZe were not giving up easily as they put up a great performance on Inferno to level the series. Jame was just not connecting with the AWP and with SANJI sacrificing his rifles for the greater good, his flanks were a lot weaker.

At times SANJI presented his side with a lot of information but the read on the situation was not all that great from AVANGAR as they couldn’t take advantage of the situation and instead it turned into a barrage of constant blunders for the side.

Dust 2
AVANGAR - 16
forZe - 6

Despite forZe taking the match to a decider, AVANGAR were spotless and efficient on Dust 2. They made quick work of the Russian line-up and secure the map with a ‘16-6’ scoreline to win the tournament.

The Berlin Major runners-up fought through a close game, maintaining their composure and playing smart. Jame and SANJI were on the money this time around as they went on to hold a rating of 1.82 and 1.69, respectively on this map.

Overall it was a great show by AVANGAR but it was a clear one-sided tug by Jame that led them to celebrate the well-deserved victory. And due to this contribution of his, Jame rightfully also won the MVP award.

The rest of the team needs to maintain pace otherwise it might not be long before another organization steps in to steal the talented AWPer away from the Kazakh organization.

With this, AVANGAR becomes the winners of the BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019 as they walk away proud with great performances in back-to-back tournaments and a cash prize of $125,000.
