GG.Bet has announced all the direct invites for GG.Bet Beijing Invitational which will be taking place online from 16th-20th September. Out of the eight participating teams, seven have been directly invited while one made its way through the Open Qualifier.
Team Participating In The Closed Qualifier
These eights teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each and each group will be following a double-elimination GSL group format, the opening matches will be a one-game affair while the remaining matches will be a best-of-three series.
Top two teams from each group will qualify for the Playoffs which will be following a single-elimination format where each match-up will be a best-of-three series.
The winning team will qualify for IEM Beijing 2019 while the runners-up will receive a cash prize of $5,000 as compensation. The remaining teams will go back empty-handed because of this tournament acting as a qualifier for a bigger tournament, which is going to be a part of the Intel Grand Slam: Season 3 circuit.
With the presence of three Berlin Major qualifying teams, forZe, G2 Esports, and mousesports, it is going to be tough for GamerLegion, Heroic, OpTic Gaming, ex-Epsilon Esports, and One More Time.
