The fourth day of the New Legends Stage came to an end with three teams making their way through to the Champions Stage while three teams were eliminated from the competition.

In the elimination bracket, Na’Vi and Liquid had a pretty easy time escaping the do-or-die situation but FaZe were not that lucky as Renegades made them play hard and still got the better of them.

On the other side, AVANGAR got the better of G2, who had started off this event on such a high note. Vitality cruised through mousesports, who were not up to their mark. But the day was far from over as Astralis had to slug it out against CR4ZY who made them play a marathon of a series in order to go through to the final stage.

Once again it was Astralis who took the centre stage. Facing off against CR4ZY, a team that has performed well beyond their potential, the Danes found it extremely hard to find victory against them.

After securing Inferno for themselves pretty comfortably, Astralis went on to play against CR4ZY on Dust 2, a map that was picked by CR4ZY but ended up working against them as they found themselves playing for overtime instead of a win soon enough.

Just yesterday after tieing the record for the longest match played at a Major, after facing a total of 59 rounds against NRG, Astralis ones again found themselves in a similar situation. A marathon run ensued between the two teams, who went on to break the previous record by playing a ‘five-overtime’ game which included a total of 60 rounds.

The 60-round madness came to an end with CR4ZY walking away as the victors, taking the series down to a decider. The final game took place on Vertigo where Astralis were unstoppable, with a huge lead at half time playing on the T-side, the Danes had done it. Astralis walked into the champions stage with a ‘2-1’ series win over CR4ZY but it was not at all easy for them.

Apart from this G2 taking on AVANGAR and FaZe getting knocked out by Renegades was also very exciting.
