The Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association (CSPPA), the official worldwide representative association for professional CS:GO players, has just announced that Sean ‘seang@res’ Gares will be joining them as a player advisor.
While welcoming him to the team, they also shared that he will be working closely with the CSPPA management, consisting of Mads Oland, Michael Doi, and Scott ‘SirScoots’ Smith along with the CSPPA board of players.
Sean Gares who is a former CS:GO and 1.6 player, stepped down from competitive Counter-Strike on 10 Dec 2015. He soon started working as a commentator and analyst, making a comeback in the competitive circuit on Jan 2016 which did not last very long.
He is currently working as a talent and is somewhat the man behind the formation of CSPPA. According to a tweet my SirScoots it was him along with Spencer ‘Hiko’ Martin and Jordan ‘n0thing’ Gilbert whose stand against the Professional eSports Association (PEA) was responsible for the formation of this ‘Players Association’.
CSPPA which was started back in 2018 is now estimated to have about 90 players as part of the association.
