Traditionally, two of the Philippines' most popular studios WombXCombo and MineskiTV have hosted separate streams for the Filipino audience. While MineskiTV has been broadcasting The International from the Key-Arena for the past 3 years, WomboXCombo usually opted for some laid-back casting from their couches back at home.
But this time, instead of competing against each other, the best of the best Filipino casters in the country will be coming together under one roof for bringing us the Filipino coverage of The International 8: Sanduguan.
These two titans of Filipino esports will work hand-in-hand for exclusive coverage, both on the ground at the venue of The International itself in Vancouver, Canada.
Providing the channel and studio for this joint production is Gariath Concepts, who was the company behind some of the Philippines’ most successful gaming events, including the Pinoy Gaming Festival (PGF) and the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS).
“This collaboration is just the start of the next big step in Philippine esports. Our two studios are joining forces for the benefit of all Filipino audiences, and to make sure that what we can provide is not only the largest esports coverage ever but the best one,” said Marlon Marcelo, Head of MineskiTV. “Let’s bring the entire Philippine Dota 2 community together and experience The International like we never have before.”
The games will be broadcasted to viewers on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels from August 15 to August 25. So do tune in to watch the massively hyped up Sanduguan 2018.
