Another case of bureaucracy hampering the growth of esports as according to recent news, Swifty has been unable to secure a visa to travel with his team to play in the ASUS ROG Masters Philippines Qualifiers.
Entity Gaming earlier qualified for the LAN stage of the competition after going through the open qualifiers. The qualifiers ended sometime around the 23rd of July with the LAN stage set to take place just a month later. Unfortunately, it seems that this just was not enough time for Swifty to secure a visa for the Philippines.
According to the ETG org and Swifty himself, the letter from ASUS itself came late and coupled with the fact that there were a lot of bank holidays in the given period, it proved really difficult to process everything on time and ultimately secure the visa.
ETG will now be playing with a standin in the form of Benhur. Their semifinal match is against Execration, a team who recently played at TI7. The format will be single elimination with HappyFeet and IPT.4114 playing the other match.

ETG roster for ASUS ROG PH Quals:
Avelino ‘Ab1ng’ Parungao
Jun ‘Bok’ Kanehara
Job ‘Jobeezy’ Ramos
Danny ‘Noia’ Junget
Benhur ‘Benhur’ Lawis (Standin)
