VG.Flash Break Apart Over Performance Issues

Aditya Singh RawatPublished On:

VG.Flash, a top-tier Chinese team which was formed back in the month of April due to dwindling in ViCi gaming's performance, especially after their utterly disappointing run in the WESG 2018

Yesterday on 10th August, Flash Gaming announced that they would be parting ways with ViCi Gaming through a Weibo Post, revealing the reason behind this decision to be the decline in the team's performance in the past few months.

Post the split, FG will be retaining its original trio of Summer, AttackeR & LOVEYY while zhokiNg and Freeman will stay on the FG roster on a temporary loan deal.

The Flash Gaming banner, for now, will feature the following line-up:

  • YuanZhang ‘AttackeR’ Sheng

  • YuLun ‘Summer’ Cai

  • KunHua ‘LOVEYY’ Bai

  • WeiJie ‘zhokiNg’ Zhong

  • WingHei ‘Freeman’ Cheung

  • Zhenghui ‘z8z’ Liu (Coach)

VG.Flash dubbed as the ‘Chinese Superteam’ took-off to a solid start by winning both, the ‘Pro Gamer League Asian Invitational’ and the ‘WCA Finals’ but soon their performance started to waiver, not living up to expectations.

Their downfall was confirmed after they bombed out of both, the ‘CS:GO Asia Championship 2018’ and the ‘FACEIT Asia Minor’, finishing at the very bottom of both these tournaments.

Further, in the post, FG added that they will be taking over all the spots in the events that were supposed to be attended by VG.Flash. This includes eXTREMESLAND 2018 China – Closed Qualifier, Starseries I-League Season-6 Asia Qualifier, MSI MGA Asia-Pacific Closed Qualifier and Zotac Cup Master 2018 Grand Finals.

In the end, FG notified everyone that the selection for the fourth and fifth player was underway while both the teams parted ways wishing each other the very best on their way ahead.
