Universe leaves Fnatic to go back to NA to join ex-VGJ.Storm stack

The old VGJ.Storm roster is undergoing big roster changes once again, and they’re bringing a familiar face back to North American play. Saahil “Universe” Arora will be joining Arif "MSS" Anwar, Avery "SVG" Silverman, Yawar "YawaR" Hassan, Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok on a new NA based lineup. He will fill the gap left by Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu, who looks like he's been ousted from the team.

In a Tweet, Resolut1on announced that the addition of the 27-year-old NA veteran would not be the only change that the roster will undergo. They have also left VGJ organization, and are currently on the lookout for a new organization. Many rumors have indicated that this roster will likely be picked up by OpTic Gaming, who have parted ways with PPD and co.

This move marks Universe’s return to the North American region after his tenure with Fnatic just ended at The International 8. Universe’s stint with Fnatic was relatively successful and consisted of two 2nd place finishes at the Summit 9 and Dreamleague Season 9, and a few other top 4 placements in DPC events.

This move also likely indicates the disbandment of Fnatic who had a great season as an SEA team. But ultimately, they didn't perform when it mattered the most: at The International 8.

Resolut1on also confirmed that Kurtis “AUI_2000” Ling will be coaching their team and that they will be retaining Jack “KBBQ” Chen as their manager.
