TNC Predator have done it. The Filipino team has put up one hell of a performance in the ESL One Birmingham 2019 Group Stages to finish in 2nd place in Group A to secure an upper bracket spot in the playoffs.
TNC kicked off their journey in ESL One Birmingham 2019 with a 1-1 draw against Forward Gaming. A draw to one of the weaker teams at the event was uninspiring for TNC fans but they struck back with 1-1 ties against Vici Gaming and OG showcasing some immaculate macro-play, with crisp execution and seamless tempo-control.
The addition of Heen to their lineup has completely transformed the SEA team into a solid Tier 1 team who can consistently stand their ground against championship contenders. This was completely evident in their series against Team Liquid where they put up one hell of a fight against Matumbaman’s signature Broodmother in Game 1. While they eventually lost the game, they struck back with a vengeance in Game 2, securing a relatively straightforward victory to tie the series 1-1.
Their final series against PPD’s NiP was quite a high-pressure game. A 2-0 victory here would give them a shot at an Upper Bracket position in the playoffs. The Filipinos did not crumble under the pressure. Instead, they embraced it and secured the 2-0 victory with Gabbi playing out of his mind, first with a Sven and then with a Bristleback.
Some fantastic plays from @TNCPredator as they wipe @NiPGaming out 2-0! #ESLOne

Thanks to their efforts in the Group Stages, TNC have booked a place in an Upper Bracket matchup against Evil Geniuses. EG is currently undefeated in this tournament. If TNC can land a blow or perhaps even bring down the NA giants, it would be a season-defining moment for them.
That match kicks off at 10:00 PM IST | 12:30 AM SGT today.
It is a date with destiny, will the great Filipino hope prevail?
