Saying that Team Aster was dominant in the Group Stages would be an understatement. They destroyed the rest of the teams in their Group but unfortunately failed to make it to the playoffs falling to ViCi Gaming in a close game. They would face paiN Gaming for a chance to faceoff against Team Secret in the lower bracket semifinals.

Game 1 between Aster and paiN was fairly even, with paiN holding a slight lead until Aster flipped the game on its head. Aster slowly pulled ahead and continued building momentum until they took game one in around 52 minutes.

Game 2 was a much quicker game with paiN dominating Aster in just 24 minutes, the fastest game of the day. They made every decisive play during confrontations and their strong performance set the stage for a huge game three.

Game 3 was more of the same for paiN as W33 and co. quickened the pace of the game, taking Aster out of their comfort zone and in just over 24 minutes with a push heavy lineup featuring a Pugna and a Weaver.

On the other side of the brackets, ViCi Gaming was taking on Virtus.Pro in the Winner Bracket Finals to determine who moves on to the Grand Finals.

In game one, Zhang "Paparazi" Chengjun played Terrorblade, one of the strongest carries in the current metagame. He fully utilized the hero given to him by coach Bai “rOtk” Fan, scoring 9 kills and 3 deaths over the course of 44 minutes. His performance allowed his team to grab the advantage very early in the game, which Virtus.Pro couldn’t take back the rest of the way.

Virtus Pro retaliated with incredible force in Game 2. They made great use of Axe in the second game, allowing Pavel "9pasha" Khvastunov to run roughshod over their opponents and level the series with a 15/1/8 performance.

Game three was far more onesided, once again thanks to Zhang "Paparazi" Chengjun’s huge contribution as Gyrocopter. Thirteen kills, 15 assists, and nearly 34,000 points of damage helped ViCi Gaming send VP to the lower brackets, thus guaranteeing a spot in the Grand Finals.

In the final matchup of the Day, paiN Gaming took on Team Secret for a spot in the Lower Bracket Finals, where their Cinderella run unfortunately came to an abrupt end.

Team Secret absolutely destroyed paiN Gaming’s lineup in just 17 minutes, and pushed them to the brink of elimination. paiN Gaming came out a little more organized to start the 2nd game and their strategy seemed to work as Team Secret had some issues countering their plays. But that game too ended in just 35 minutes, as Team Secret closed out the series 2-0 and secured a spot in the Loser Bracket Finals.
